As the Niners have the NFC West well in hand, and the Cardinals are entirely irrelevant, I’m going to be “Looking Wild” rather than “Looking West” from here on out.
Hopefully, my picks this week will be more on target!
Predictions
Rams 24
Vikings 16
I think the offense will wake up a bit this week with some home cooking. The key to the game will be containing Adrian Peterson and forcing Christian Ponder to make plays. Without Percy Harvin on the field, that is the Vikings’ weakness.
Bills 21
Seahawks 17
This could be a real trap game for the Hawks, who have beenon a roll. They are not a great road team to start, and the Bills defense should match up well to Seattle’s offense.
Redskins 19
Browns 14
With RGIII likely out, or at least limited, the Browns will keep this one close. In the end, though,I don’t think they have enough offense to win, even against the Skins’ suspect defense.
Packers 27
Bears 24
The Bears are desperate to get out of their current slump, but I don’t think they can protect Jay Cutler against the Packers’ pass rush. Also, their defense just isn’t playing at the level it did in September and October.
Steelers 24
Cowboys 13
The Steelers were embarrassed last week, and they need a win as much as the Cowboys do. This will be an example of the bad Tony Romo.
Saints 28
Buccaneers 20
New Orleans is nearly out of the playoff hunt, but I thinkthey will still be motivated to make a good showing at home against a division foe.
Falcons 31
Giants 27
Atlanta does not want to coast into the playoffs, and I expect they’ll win this home game. In doing so, the Giants will be back in the Wild Card picture as the fight the Redskins for the NFC East title.
Projected Standings
Seattle 8-6

New York 8-6*
St. Louis 7-6-1 (0.5)
