Name: Doug Nussmeier

Position: Quarterbacks Coach

Born: Dec. 11, 1970 in Lake Oswego, Ore.

Education: University of Idaho

Family: Married, wife Cristi, son Garrett, daughter Ashlynn.

Playing Experience: 1989-1993-- Quarterback, Idaho.

1994-1997—Quarterback, New Orleans Saints.

1998—Quarterback, Indianapolis Colts.

2000—Quarterback, British Columbia Lions (CFL).

Coaching Responsibilities: Oversees meetings, development and fundamentals of the team’s quarterback. Works on fundamentals and basics as well as playbook help for all of the signal callers on a daily basis.

Coaching Experience: 2001—Quarterbacks, British Columbia Lions (CFL).

2002—Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks, Ottawa Renegades (CFL).

2003-2005—Quarterbacks, Michigan State.

Coaching Influences: Scott Linehan – The current Rams coach tutored Nussmeier when he was the quarterbacks coach at Idaho. Now has given Nussmeier his first NFL coaching opportunity.

Prominent Performers: Drew Stanton (Michigan State QB), Jeff Smoker (Michigan State QB/Rams QB).

Notable: As a junior at Lake Ridge High School (Lake Oswego, Ore.), played defensive back on a 14-0 state championship team that was ranked ninth in the country…led team to the playoffs as a senior quarterback.
