Re: What should we expect in our first preseason game?
There are no relevant "statements" in a preseason game. Its preseason, it doesnt count.
New people, read the posts of Hubison, the big bison. He is the most pragmatic guy on the board. What counts the most in any preseason game is that your guys dont get hurt. End of story.
Injuries are part of the game for every team and a critical component of who wins the superbowl. You cant win anything in a preseason game but you can sure lose plenty if you get key injuries. Notwithstanding the miracle result of the trent green injury, at the end of the day, almost everything that comes out of preseason that can truly affect your season is bad. 0-4 in the preseason is a LOT less relevant than how healthy your team is when its over.
In 2002, i believe the rams were 0-4 in preseason. Thats not why we started the season 0-5. But james hodgins breaking his foot in the last preseason game sure had a lot to do with our inability to run the ball early in the season and that was a material factor.
Stay healthy and have the #1's and for that matter the entire team play hard. Thats all you can hope and pray for. I for one have no interest in revealing any news schemes that haslett may have in mind for week one vs. denver. MAX PROTECT PLEASE, keep people away from mr bulger. A few carries for the Big Boy and thats it, get him off the field and onto the bench. The last thing we need is some marginal player trying to make a roster taking a free shot at our best guys.
ramming speed to all
