Book of SpiralHorns, Chapter 11 - Casualties of War; Birds of Prey

In a flash of crimson, a battle is lost. And on the fields of the homefront the casualties continue to mount. The wounds of body must be given time to heal, and young warriors must answer the call until time grants such relief. But what of the wounds of spirit? As self-doubt gains a foothold there, a parasitic entity erodes at the very heart of the Legions.

Such adversity may only be overcome through continued battle, so onward to the South and to the East the Legions march. There, birds of prey wait for their chance to take advantage of a Legion diminished by casualties, and to add more.

It is at this time that the words of AvengerRam are most needed. Though his prophesies are not greater than the will of man and fate, he nonetheless speaks from visions of clarity and truth. Indeed, AvengerRam embodies, and speaks for, the very spirit of the SpiralHorns, as he cries out:

"My friends, the war continues. Within each member of the Legions is the power to excel, the power to succeed. Put aside the brash boasts of the past. Now is the time for precision, for fury and for action. Though we face birds of prey, we shall not be the hunted. The Legions path to glory still lies before us."

And the Legions rallied and marched forth, returning to triumph.

And so it shall be.
