Book of SpiralHorns, Chapter 13: Who Rules The West?

Book of SpiralHorns, Chapter 13: Who Rules The West?

In the defeat of the Miners, the Legions find the key to the ultimate path toward glory close at hand. The Western kingdom has nearly fallen, but there is no time to rejoice.

A dark cloud looms on the horizon. Clad in obsidian and the hue of ingots, the Paladins are once again poised to battle the Legion. And though the scars of battles lost render the Paladins less than a rival for sovereignty, they remain a fierce nemesis.

AvengerRam has once before prophesized the defeat of the Paladins, but his foresight proved mistaken. And so a faction of the SpiralHorns, though openly bold, questioned whether the date of vengeance was finally imminent.

To this unspoken inquiry, AvengerRam responded: "Look not at the bold prophesies of the seers of the Legions. For even I cannot always see past the cloak of time. Instead, look to the warriors of the Legions to bring about the glory long due. As a seer of sorts, I can tell this much. It is well within the power of the Legion to match the ferocity of the Paladin warriors, as well as their skill. So go forth, and do what must be done."

And with this, the Legions marched forth. And in front of the eyes of the world a mighty battle ensued. The Legions struck first, marshalling ground forces to strike the heart of the Paladin battlements. And when the counterattack seemed to gain momentum, through the air the Legions struck again, clinching the battle and sealing the fate of the Paladins.

And in the end, the Western Kingdom did fall to the Legions, who continued their journey to the ultimate prize.

And so it shall be.
