Re: What Cardinal fans are saying

I remember watching the Cards as a kid. Larry Wilson was the only player who ever stood out in the few games that I watched.

The Cards are a team with a long history, even longer than our Rams. They have also had long droughts during those years. When they left St, Louis, I remember there wasn't too much said other than "Bye". I don't know why, but this strikes me in a wierd way.

The Rams came to St. Louis from LA. There are still diehard fans in California. Those fans remember the decline and fall of the Rams, just like the fans from St. Louis remember the Rams from the first few seasons there.

The Cards fans around here are few and far between. I know fans from every team in the NFL except Atlanta and Detroit, and only 1 Card fan. It's wierd, because the baseball Cardinals have a HUGE following here. Heck, even the Royals have fans still to be found.

Where are the rest of those Cardinal fans? I know if I had a choice between death, wearing a whiners jersey, or wearing a Cards jersey, I'd pick the Cards jersey in a heartbeat. Yeah, they aren't a good team. But, at least they aren't the whiners....and that is something to be proud of!
