I'm aware that the fearsome foursome were late 60's early 70's. I then said in a seperate sentence that we had not established ourselves as a defensive ballclub "...for anything over a season or two since the late 70's."
There should perhaps have been a sentence in between that made the distinction between those two era's very clear and gave full accreditation to "Hunter" and company. Alternatively, I could have made the dates of the fearsome foursome's rampage across the NFL clear.
My appreciation of the history of our ballclub, whilst incomplete, isn't as fogged as to make such a faux pas.
