I know, that's my favorite part of the mock. "The Rams have needs at both defensive line and cornerback, and will likely use their second pick (No. 52 overall) on an interior defender to help them improve against the run." Except that's not what we're going to have them do. Thanks anyways!

So what would you suggest doing? The Rams have done nothing at all to immediately address the primary weakness of this defense. It's either address it with a rookie or not address it at all.
Yes, we should look toward the draft as an outlet to add long term talent, but when you completely fail to add immediate talent at immediate positions of need, then you've basically got to do something about it in April. The two shouldn't be mutually exclusive either; adding someone at a position of need through the draft is also in theory working towards becoming a winning team in the future as well.
