Steroids made him stronger and he healed faster. That's what steroids do. Is he an incredible hitter without them? Heck yea. That's why I still think he would have had 600 or so homeruns without the needle. But would he have as many homeruns or as many at-bats to attempt homeruns without the needle? Nope.
