I saw Glover interviewed, and it seems to me he said virtually the same thing.
I think that's Haslett.
Basically, I think Haslett's approach is to emphasize how they were out of position, didn't know their assignments, and so forth. From that perspective, he can then say, we weren't that bad---it's some fixable things.
IE. if I am right, it's a motivation thing. "We just need to tighten up this or that, and it will come together." (Obviously not a real quote.) Seems to me, I remember Haslett saying the same thing in N.O.---"we played well, just a few big runs drove up the average."
I suppose that's only bad if it makes them complacent. Cause it is clear from acquiring at least 4 new D-linemen, that the coaches don't just think they "weren't that bad."
