Linehan's approach was confusing. When the Rams theoretically had a chance to make a game of it in the third quarter, Linehan opted to kick a field goal on fourth-and-one. The Rams were trailing 16-0; what's the benefit of a field goal there? What did the Rams have to lose except maybe a few more teeth? Instead of trying to score a touchdown and cut Baltimore's lead to 16-7, Linehan backed off.

Bernie who?
1st of all Linehan went for a 4th and 1 with 1:28 left in the 1st half and we failed on an incomplete pass from Frerotte to Hagans.
Then with the score 16-0 on a 4th and 1 he trots Wilkins out for a 32 yard attempt that is coverted, 16-3. We all know how crowded the field gets inside the red zone. No running game at to speak of. What was Leonard like 10 rushes for 18 yards? Heck if we couldn't convert at the Ravens 38 how on earth are we going to convert at the Ravens 14? At the time of this field goal the game clock was at 6:48 of the 3rd quarter. Still a ton of time to make a comeback. As a matter of fact our offense had the ball 4 more times before the game ended. 16-3 or 16-7 or 16-0 that's what the choices were. Also, who's to say we would have scored a touchdown after converting the 4th and 1?
S.L.A.P. liked the call.
