Re: There are several nails in our coffin but we're not dead yet.
I will say that I have to marvel at the optimism of this thread.
The St. Louis Rams, or as fans of opposing teams appropriately call us, The Lambs, have no chance of getting back in this thing. None. Zero. Ziltch. Nada.
Forget looking at the schedule, forget about what players may be returning soon. This team is dead. A team that is averaging barely 10 points per game has no chance of putting together a string of two wins, let alone going 8-2. I've been watching this team for almost 40 years, and this team is as bad as ANY I've ever seen.
If the Rams were known around the league to be "soft", well, this team is downright "mushy". There's no fight, no desire, no effort on offense. Sure, injuries are the biggest culprit as to why this thing unravelled. But it just revealed what many of us feared. Our receivers are getting old and we're extremely thin on talent at the offensive line positions. Even when we're still in a game, we find ways to give it away. Fumbles, interceptions by the handfuls, missed field goals, kick returns for TD's. It's sickening to watch. Which in fact is why I'm not planning on watching any more Ram games this year and I'm putting my Ram gear away until this organization proves to me they want to win. Maybe a 0-16 season and 20 thousand no-shows a game is what this team needs.
This team, from top to bottom, needs an anema.
