big names released
From Rotoworld:
Do we have any interest??
Dan Morgan-LB- Panthers Feb. 11 - 4:09 pm et
Panthers released LB Dan Morgan and OG Mike Wahle.
Morgan said all the right things since the season ended, but Carolina didn't need him anymore with Jon Beason entrenched in the middle. If Morgan is healthy enough to pass a physical, he could be a nice addition for a team willing to give him a shot. He's currently recovering from Achilles surgery. Wahle will either be replaced by Geoff Hangartner or Justin Hartwig.

Joe Toledo-G- Dolphins Feb. 11 - 3:24 pm et
Dolphins waived OL Joe Toledo.
Toledo, a college tight end, looked promising when he was taken in the 2006 fourth round, but recurring foot injuries have kept him from seeing the field.
L.J. Shelton-T- Dolphins Feb. 11 - 3:20 pm et
Dolphins released OL L.J. Shelton.
He started 16 games at right tackle last year, but Miami is going to completely remake its line. Shelton can also play guard and should find work as a reserve.
Anthony Alabi-T- Dolphins Feb. 11 - 3:15 pm et
Dolphins waived OTs Anthony Alabi and Marion Dukes, and DTs Marquay Love and Anthony Bryant.
Alabi has the best shot to be claimed off waivers, as he has the ability to be a formidable backup left tackle. He'd only cost $520,000. Love and Dukes are borderline NFL players. Bryant is huge but has never made an impact.

Keith Traylor-DL- Dolphins Feb. 11 - 3:15 pm et
Dolphins released DT Keith Traylor.
Traylor will be 39 years old at the start of next season, and is probably going to retire.
Trent Green-QB- Dolphins Feb. 11 - 3:07 pm et
The Dolphins released nine players Monday, including Trent Green, Marty Booker, and DT Keith Traylor.
The new sheriffs in town (Bill Parcells and GM Jeff Ireland) aren't wasting any time. Green hopes to play football again, but hasn't received medical clearance. He could resurface in Baltimore or St. Louis as a backup. Booker is still a solid pro; he was just overpaid. Other released 'Phins include T L.J. Shelton, T Anthony Alabi, T Joe Toledo, T Marion Dukes, and DT Marquay Love.

Marty Booker-WR- Dolphins Feb. 11 - 3:06 pm et
Dolphins released WR Marty Booker.
The Dolphins were never going to pay him $4.3 million in 2008. Booker, 31, has slowed down considerably over the past two seasons and averaged only 11.1 YPC in 2007, a personal low since 2001. He'll likely catch on elsewhere, possibly as a slot receiver because his hands are still reliable, but may have to take a deal for close to the veteran minimum.
