It's absurd that the league handed out punishment to the Patriots based on the few tapes Belicheck handed over himself right after the Jets game (I believe it was only 6 tapes, showing taping done in 2006-2007). Then later we learn that they have been taping since 2000 and that does not result in further punishment?

The league clearly did not investigate this fully, handed out punishment prematurely, did not disclose new facts (that taping was done dating back to 2000) until a senator forced them to, did not increase punishment when the new facts were discovered, destroyed the evidence etc.

This is getting to the point where Goodell (and Tagliabue too to the extent he knew about it) should face some very serious personal consequences I think.
