What if with out first three picks we could get this?

Would you like it if we traded down for the Saints #10 and Jammal Brown OT. Then traded the #10 pick and our 3rd round pick to move up and take Sedric Ellis DT who is a very good DT. Round #2 we draft Lawrence Jackson, DE, USC.

First 3 picks:
OT - Jammal Brown
DT - Sedric Ellis
DE - Lawrence Jackson

If this happened our first three picks would net a Pro Bowl caliber OT. The second best DT in the draft. Good young DE to push for a starting spot. That would definently shore up our OL and DL. We could then go WR in Round 4.

Imagine this OL:
LT - Pace ---Brown could take over if injury or retire
LG - Bell
C - Incognito
RG- Barron
RT - Jammal Brown

backups:
Setterstrom
Romberg
Fry

This OL would be very good if Pace returns healthy and decent even if he don't. To Pro Bowl player at both OT spots and Barron's biggest problems was false starts I don't think he would get near as many if he was not out on the edge. Bell is a very good G and Incognito is definenlty tough enough.

And this DL:
DE - Little
DT - Sedric Ellis
DT - Carriker
DE - Lawrence Jackson

backups:
DT-Glover
DT-Ryan
DE-Hall
DE-Adeyanju

This DL would be good Sedric Ellis is not far behind Dorsey at all.
"Ellis had a dominant senior season, finishing the season with 58 tackles, 12.5 for loss, and 8.5 sacks on his way to earning All America honors." Dorseys numbers where 64 tackles, 11.5 for loss, and 6.5 sacks on the year. He might turn out to be just as good as Dorsey. He also played a lot of NT in college. For his career he wound up with better college numbers then Dorsey. We would then have the flexibility of moving Carriker around. Jackson at the DE position would be a nice complement to Little.
