The thing I find funny is the defense of Bulger. He has been one some great teams, bad teams and everything between. If stats are dispelled(and seeing Dave Krieg is a higher rated QB then Joe Namath in alot of cases they should be)it comes back to "it's not his fault", "it's the D or o=line, ect.".
Fact is Bulger has not been money in big games. He has not been a 4th qt killer. All the things that make good QB's great Bulger lacks. Unless we feild a better defense, line, reciever corps and coach Bulger has no chance of ever winning. In other words.....If Bulger has a team that can carry him, THEN he should be given credit.
Come on! The guy is an above average QB. He is a big reason why the window to win it all slammed shut. Does he deserve all the blame? No. But he should share in it.
"Speaking of "presence" QB's, Kurt Warner, who I will always admire, performed his magic in '99 behind an OL that was among the league leaders in fewest sacks allowed and with the support of the NFL's 4th ranked defense. Oops, once again those stats rear their ugly heads.

"
That line was full of reserves who went nowhere after that season. And the defense had to face teams down by 3 or more scores all year long. Facing teams that have to pass and you know it's coming isn't the same as a great defense. That unit was good, nowhere near the 4th ranking though. Stats are not the end all.
