Re: If Favre is released.........

No, No, and No Way.

At this point in time Bulger is a far better QB than Favre is. John Madden and ESPN have brainwashed the public in their hype of Brett Favre for the last decade. Favre was a great QB from 1995 to 1999, but he's been no more than slightly above average since then.

Yeah, I realize he has set several NFL records, but don't forget that it has happened in an era where the game has shifted from running to passing thanks to changes in rules about pass interference and roughing the passer. In addition, he also set an all-time record for the most interceptions, which cannot be over looked.

If you want to get a glimpse at what we would be getting, check out his stats over the last few years. One hundred interceptions in five years. More interceptions than touchdowns in the playoffs since 2000. Just four more touchdowns than interceptions over the last three years (despite being on a 13-3 team last year.)

I'm not trying to discount Favre's accomplishments - he deserves to go in to the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility - but Favre has received way too much attention in comparison to his productivity over the last eight or ten years.

At this point in time, especially with a $13 million salary, the guy is absolutely not worth it. Let somebody else take him and rebuild in a year or two after he retires again.
