Re: The S.L.O.P.P.Y. Manifesto.
I am reminded of Jonathan Swift...
"Rebukes are easy from our betters,
From men of quality and letters;
But when low dunces will affront,
What man alive can stand the brunt?"
However, I believe the Dean of St. Patrick's and one time resident of my dear County Antrim also had something to say to those fans willing to accept mediocrity....
"The stoical scheme of supplying our wants by lopping off our desires, is like cutting off our feet when we want shoes."
WOO-HOO! Oh how I love the offseason. The time of year when grown men speak as experts of facts that won't become so for another 1 to 5 months. Salute!
