A 2nd and a 6th rounder seems steep for a 33-year-old player, he is an absolute premier defensive player though, one of my personal favorite defensive players in the league to watch. But I have to wonder if they couldn't have gotten him cheaper than this, with all the controversy between him and the FO. It's the Redskins though - not exactly strangers to overpaying.
Admittedly I haven't followed the situation in Miami all that closely but based on what I've heard Parcells have been acting like a jackass (and I say that even though I have the greatest respect for the guy). I mean does anyone seriously believe that Jason Taylor is not going to show up ready and in perfect shape no matter what TV show he may or may not appear on during the offseason? Taylor seems like a complete professional to me, and he's really left it all on the field every time I've watched him play.
