Steven Jackson replaced Arlen Harris on kickoff returns Sunday.
In the first quarter, the Rams were fooled by an Atlanta onside kick, even
though Martz said, "we practiced that and we told them that was coming."
Martz was unsuccessful on another instant replay challenge Sunday, this time
challenging an Atlanta onside kick that appeared to clearly go the required 10
yards before being recovered by the Falcons.
"We had some information that it didn't go 10 yards," Martz said. "I didn't see
it, so I immediately challenged it, and it was the wrong information."

What also apparently doesn't matter is the notion that bucking the trend at KR and placing RBs in that role is not a sound strategy. Jackson may have returned kicks as a freshman, but his body has grown and his game isn't suited to open field running unless it is a breakaway. Faulk shouldn't have had to be back there. Candidate and Harris neither.
As to the wasted Challenge, it's a shame that the ST's return unit was so inept that sMartz felt compelled to grasp at other straws.
