Hey, Falcons. Just thought I'd stop by and see how you are feeling before the big game. I presume you're feeling pretty good. You've got everything going in your favor.

You've had two weeks to rest.

You've got the home field advantage.

Your team is healthy.

Your superstar, Michael Vick, is ready to go.

And what's more, the team you're playing is an 8-8 team that you've already beaten by 17 points in a game earlier this season. They have a shaky defense, a battered offensive line, and turn the ball over a lot. What's more, I hear a couple of their key players are nursing nagging injuries. That should help too.

Yeah, it should be a cakewalk this week. You've got nothing to worry about.

Funny thing is, as I look into your faces, I detect a bit of reticence. Not quite fear... but, perhaps, a tinge of doubt.

I guess I can understand that to some extent. I mean, this team your playing isn't really the same team you met earlier in the season. Their defense is playing better since they added a new free safety and that young defensive tackle got healthy. They also seem to be playing better with their new coordinator's scheme.

Their offense also is playing a bit better. That rookie running back is kind of scary, and that QB is playing the best he's played in a long time.

Come to think of it, that home field advantage is not so big. I mean, its not like you have the loudest crowd in the league, and the team you're playing really likes dome stadiums.

That time off also may be overrated. There is such a thing as rust, and the other team seems to have gained some momentum in the meantime.

The more I think about it, maybe you should be more than just a bit reticent. Maybe you should be downright scared. Maybe this isn't the team you want to be playing right now with your season on the line.

Or maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe you have nothing to worry about. No need to get so hyped up about this one... you really should win this game.

Or... maybe... just maybe... you should be terrified.
