you have to have the latest java uploaded to your computer and make sure your security progamme allows access.
if you have a firewall suspend it until you access the chatroom for the first time then enable it after a couple of minutes, that will help as well

I now have the latest Java, so we can cross that off the list.
How do I change my security? The tab at the bottom of the screen is telling me that protected mode is off. help?

I can't get in either. I'm downloading the latest Java also. Unfortunately, I'm on a dial up which means the draft may be over before its done.
Can we open a draft thread for those of us that can't get in the chatroom?
