Five minute wait inbetween PMs

Is that really necessary? It seems WAY excessive and makes things like planning/running the FF league a pain in the butt having to wait that long inbetween PMs when you have half a dozen people to write to about different things.

I'm guessing it was set in place to prevent spammers from sending a bunch of crap to members all at once. It is kind of annoying, though, when trying to manage PMs by the bunch.

Agreed, last season I set up a stream and asked people to PM for access, couldn't get to all of them because of the wait

I understand the reason behind it. All forums have a wait timer inbetween posts and PMs. I've just never seen one this excessive.
