How do we show emotion for Rams Football?

Now that this might have gotten some attention ... the real question is why aren't the smilies (that are coming from a different server) that are inserted in a post not working. They use to work. On the other site and this one. What happened?

How is one suppose to convey some telling emotion about a Rams football related topic if the emoticons/smilies are limited to just the ones posted next to the text? Is this just temporary?

Re: How do we show emotion for Rams Football?

It never use to be a problem. Just noticed today. If I wanted to insert a smilie from another site/server I would type in the following:

[img]http:webaddress.wherever[/img]

Now the web address is inserted into the post with the address underlined and with the brackets and code removed.

For example, http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-013.gif

OK. At the bottom of the page in a box called "Posting Rules" it says that:

[img] code is OFF

In your User CP, select Edit Options on the left side. When the options page appears, scroll down to the Thread Display Options section, and you'll find a Visible Post Elements frame. In there, select the Show Images option.

Re: How do we show emotion for Rams Football?

try using the VB code other than HTML .... there was a security breach by someone using the IMG tag and the forum shut down the option. I can switch it back un but I belive you can do the same thing with VB code

Re: How do we show emotion for Rams Football?

Since the usage is the same with VB code and IMG code I'll link to a different web site/server and see if that makes a difference ...

Re: How do we show emotion for Rams Football?

Well that didn't work. The code was written just like vB had an example of (which coincidently wasn't different from IMG code.

So I might suggest you turn on the IMG code again. I can't imagine how a security breach would be created by posting a link ... just copy and paste would create security issues ... just like java.

Anyway, how about turning the code back on and seeing if that fixes the problem?
