How does one give one rep?

    Re: Rep.

Can anyone give me an insight into how Rep works? As in, how many points do we have to get to obtain an extra bar/reputation power?

    I appreciate it.

I echo LeBulger's question that was asked almost 3 months ago. Don't get me wrong. I think it's a cool feature. But is this a subjective feature or a straight forward feature?

Example: I went to my User C.P. today and noticed that i had been given rep. on the 14th and 18th of this month. Which i appreciate. But it didn't increase my rep. power. My rep. points were 238. What ever that means. Can somebody please clarify this for me?........Thanks!

if you have been given rep by someone with low rep, it will not increase your rep.

The rep. that was given was from one poster with a rep power of 18 and the other with the rep power of 17. My rep power is currently 9. Do you consider those rep powers as low, Dez? I'm just asking?

Well said. Which brings me back to the question that nobody seems to answer. I have read the "meaning" in the "FAQ" as Dez pointed out to me. It does not, however, address my "example" question. Will anyone?
