Rams travel to the Black Hole

As we all know our Rams finished (6-10) last season. We all know injuries to key players and the Mike Martz issues were the main reasons for our poor season in 2005. With all the changes before the start of the 2006 season I had expectations of a 9 or 10 win season at the best. The worst I saw us doing based on our schedule was 8 or doubtfully 7 wins. The way I'm going to grade Scott Linehan and his coaching staff is based solely on wins and losses.
To finish this season with 6 or less wins will put Linehan and his staff in my personal doghouse. We have 5 wins now and need to win out to get to 8.
Mr. Linehan you are in danger of entering Laram0's DOGHOUSE!

First let me say the NFC is a mess. Other than the Bears and Saints (you read that right, the Saints) the playoff picture is still very blurry. With our Rams sitting at (5-8) we are still alive for a playoff spot. It's a long shot but anything is possible. The only way to have a chance is to win our last 3 games.

The first of the 3 games left is at the Black Hole. We will be playing the Oakland Rrrraiders at their domain. The Raiders are bad and I don't mean as in good. They have a record of (2-11) both of their wins coming at the Black Hole. They are dead last in the NFL in overall offense averaging 243.3 yards per game. Ranked 28th in rushing and 31st in passing. Also they are ranked 31st in scoring offense, averaging 12 points per game. Quarterbacks Walter and Brooks have been sacked 62 times! Their best offensive scoring out put was 22 at home vs. the Cardinals. The Raiders strength is their defense. Ranked 6th overall, 25th vs. the run and 1st vs. the pass. They're tied for 18th in scoring defense allowing 20.7 points per game. To sum up the Raiders, they're offense is killing them. On top of the dead last ranking they are next to last in the turnover department with (-11).

We will win this game right? RIGHT! We showed the NFL on Monday Night Football vs. the Bears that we can and will move the ball and score points. So the Raiders defense doesn't phase me in the least. If there's anything positive for the Raiders other than their defense it's the fact that Aaron Brooks is back under center. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not? Brooks has the offense playing a little bit better. He has started their last 4 games (all losses) completing 59% of his passes for an average of 200 passing yards. Brooks adds the scrambling dimension to the offense. Believe me he is forced to scramble behind the worst Offensive line in the NFL. Brooks has scrambled for 87 positive yards in their last 4 games. Makes me think of the 22 yard scramble by Grossman last week.:x

Come on, with the state of the Raiders there's no way we should lose this game. Yeah as in every game there are negatives and positives.

The Negatives:
Rams are on the road. (Black Hole)
Rams will be playing outdoors.
Possible Monday Night Football loss hangover.
Last time our Rams played a top 10 defense on the road we were shutout.
(Panthers 15 Rams 0).

The Positives:
The Rrraiders
Our offense
The Rrraiders
Our defense....that's right, "OUR DEFENSE"
The Rrraiders
Jeff Wilkins
The Rrraiders

You get the idea?

I will say getting spanked by the Cardinals at home was very embarrassing and depressing. Losing this game to the Raiders would hurt just as much if not more.

Mr. Linehan and staff this is your chance to get us to 6. Don't let us down.
