(0-8) Is it all about the injuries?

We have had more injuries than any other team in the NFL. The injuries make for a good excuse as to why we are 0-8. There's more to it than just the injuries.

    Example:

    The (3-4) Buffalo Bills

    Rankings:

    Offense
#31 Overall (246 ypg) 13.9 pts per game

    Defense
#30 Overall (381.3 ypg) 19.3 points allowed per game

    Turnover Ratio = +7

    Minnesota Vikings (2-5) Offense #23, Defense #27. Turnover Ratio = +6
    Atlanta Falcons (1-6) Offense #25, Defense #23. Turnover Ratio = +5
    Miami Dolphins (0-8) Offense #18, Defense #24. Turnover Ratio = -8

    St. Louis Rams (0-8)
    Offense #29, Defense #20. Turnover Ratio = -13

    Gosh, the Raiders (2-5) Turnover Ratio = -6, Jets (1-7) Turnover Ratio = -5

Turnover ratio's of -8, -6, -5 are bad enough but -13 is the worst in the NFL.

You can't tell me that we don't have a better team than the Bills, Jets, Falcons, Dolphins, Raiders and Vikings. All these teams have had their share of injuries. Obviously not at the magnitude we have but still all but one of these teams has managed to get into the win column.

Bills- How many of their players can you name. What do they have that we don't.

Vikings- They don't have a legitimate QB. How about their receiving corp.?

Falcons- Same story as the Vikings

Dolphins- Injuries have hurt them at key positions. Lost their starting QB and RB to season ending injuries. -8 Turnover Ratio.

    Raiders- QB controversy, receiving corp???

Jets- As bad as they are at least they have 1 win.

    We have the talent!!!

My point is that yes the injury "plague" has hit us bigtime. Turnovers have kept us out of the win column. Our players are playing hard and "NO" Linehan hasn't lost the team.
Very untimely turnovers of which Linehan has no control of have killed us.

    FORMULA:

    INJURY PLAGUE + (-13 Turnover Ratio) = (0-8)

Blaming injuries is a cop out.
The Ravens while not quite as bad as the Rams were definately in the same ballpark, I believe they had 3 rookies starting on the OL the day the Rams played them.
Losing a guy does not lose the game, it's what you do after that that counts.

Do you Rally or Fold. Is your team in a position to be able to adjust..
The Rams are not, and they were partially at least put in that situation by the current administration and it's roster mismanagement.

Other guys need to step up, they should have won two of the games, browns and *****. But they didn't.

I think it's a great big mixture. Injuries, team confidence (in each other, themselves, and the coaching staff), and poor play.

No way is it all about the injuries, but I think injuries have certainly been the biggest factor.

It really is just that simple. Injuries aren't the only reason but they are the biggest reason.

You can add a lack of player execution, some questionable play calling, a few stupid iindividual behavior problems and bad luck to the the biggest culprit, injuries.

Those are the rest of the reasons. It just is that simple.
