10 Quick Hits On The Game

Not a pretty game, but in the end, the Rams did what it took to win.

Robert Quinn continued right where he left off last week. As I suspected, he climbed to the top of the Rams all-time single season sack chart, and at the moment, he's the front runner for the Deacon Jones Award with an NFL leading 18 sacks.

Zac Stacy keeps on rolling, with a 100+ yards against a tough Tampa rush defense.

Alec Ogletree is a flat out playmaker.

Loved the double reverse TD by Bailey, as well as the blocks by Harkey and Stacy to spring it.

Speaking of Bailey, how great was it to see him get his first NFL TD? I threw my arms up in joy as he dove into the end zone. IMO, he's the best WR on the team. This has been said by others, and it's early, but Bailey really reminds me of Ike.

It's one of those plays that you like when it works, but the QB draw on the goal was ill-advised IMO.

Nice to see Givens make some plays today.

Hate to nitpick, but are they really throwback uniforms with that silly Nike collar? That just ruins it for me.

I'm all for honesty, but what was with Jenkins calling PI on himself?

Quinn, Ogletree, Stacy & Bailey are ALL playmakers on this team and are key to future success!

I agree. Big catches, big blocks, and smart plays, like knocking the on-sides kick out of bounds to keep possession at a critical point in the game. He's not flashy, but he makes the plays that make a difference.

Laurinaitis had a one and a half sacks, with a forced fumble, and had a lot of key tackles on third downs

Nice to see TJ get his first sack!

Jenkins made another awesome play against a big receiver in the end zone

Did they show a graphic saying that this was the first 100 yard rushing game that Tampa had given up all year?

If you mean Fox, yes they did. Pretty impressive when you consider Zac did it behind a line that lost Long, shifted Saffold to LT, and had Smith come off the bench to play RG.

That means we may have more OL depth than we think we have. Re-sign Saffold.

I think you're right, and the fact that our backups can do it on the fly in the middle of a game, means effective depth.
