Right team, at the right time. Perfect combination of talent on offense. Quick, agile line fit the Martz scheme and his scheme was new and "unstoppable". And yes, Horne was awesome. The defense was undersized but lead by a great MLB in Fletcher and very hungry.
Remember the Rams-Broncos game from '00?
Our offense produced like a freaking video game. I'll never EVER forget Holt and Az Hakim running down the sideline talking to each other and into the endzone. Warner threw an early TD, then 2 INTS, then 3 straight TD passes, its a vintage GSOT game lol.
They made it look easy. Now it's just hard for us to look.
You knew every gaame we were going to score, you just wondered how much.
Remember when we were down 17 points to seattle with 5 or 6 minutes left in the game, and some how we pulled it off.... Beautiful, that's what it was. After that game i never worried how much we were down by, i knew we could pull it off.
wasnt that in 2004?
i remember we were down by 17 with 6 minutes to go, and Bulger hit Manumaleuna in the endzone to start the comeback, Manu coming down with the ball jumping above about three Seattle defenders. Then Bulger threw a long TD to Kevin Curtis to bring us within three. I think Wilkins then totally nailed the onside kick, the Rams recovering the football and marching downfield for Wilkins to get the game tying field goal. Then in overtime Bulger connected with Shaun McDonald on a 50+ yard TD pass to win the game, and the Seattle fans started throwing rubbish on the field.
"i think it was cam cleeland that caught the pass not brandon m."
Actually, Cleeland caught the game winning TD against the Hags in the 04 playoff game in Seattle. Brandon M caught the first TD of the 17 point comeback in the regular season.
