Lewis, the 12th overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami (Fla.), was named third-team all-America by The Sports Exchange and a first-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference. Starting in nine games last year, he registered 39 tackles, 3.0 sacks, three passes defensed and two forced fumbles. He started 41 of 43 career games for the Hurricanes, finishing his career with 220 tackles, and 15.5 sacks.
