    1st-Rounder Quinn Practices

    1st-rounder Quinn practices

    BY JIM THOMAS
    Sunday, July 31, 2011

First-round draft pick Robert Quinn is signed, sealed, and was on the field Sunday morning for the Rams' walk-through session. The defensive end from North Carolina is wearing jersey No. 94.

Two of the Rams' newly acquired free agents, defensive tackle Justin Bannan and linebacker Zac Diles, arrived in St. Louis and were on the practice field watching the walk-through, which was held indoors.

Like all veteran free agents who sign a new contract, Bannan and Diles cannot practice until Aug. 4 (or when the new collective bargaining agreement is approved).

***Former Rams great Issac Bruce was en route to St. Louis on Sunday and will work with the team's wide receivers.

***The Rams will receive a conditional seventh-round pick from Cleveland in the John Greco trade. The Browns surrender the pick only if Greco starts games, according to league sources.

How great is this to hear? Another good move by DeSpags.

    Nice!

I wonder if he will be hired onto the staff? If so, where will that leave Nolan?

It would be great to hire him as our receivers coach once McD leaves and Nolan learns everything he could about this great offense being installed for us.

It's going to be similar to bringing Sam Madison aboard an offseason ago to work with the defensive backs. Don't read anymore into it than that.

I was not reading anything more into the report. Just pondering the future.

Thanks for your input. It's good to know that the Rams keep you abreast of the current plan.

So I guess the reason J-Mac would be leaving would be because he will have transformed our anemic offense into an NFL juggernaut. A nice concept .. I like it!
