    #2 pick it is

    Indy just lost to Jacksonville.

Initial thoughts here, who do you favor at 2? Kalil, Blackmon or Claiborne? Or, do you trade down and try and cash in on someone wanting RGIII?

I would go for the trade down, if things fall right for them, otherwise take a WR

I think we should go Claiborne, Even though Blackmon is the best reciever in this draft he isn't worth the #2 pick. Claiborne is a shutdown corner, and BPA at 2.

And i think we pick up a WR in FA anyway.

I say it depends on fa. If we get a top flight reciever plus resign lloyd and amendola then i would skip on blackmon and get bap at a skill position. Or trade down but not to far. I also think it depends on rg3s projected draft position. If he and luck are projected to go 1 and 2 i would absolutely trade down... Hopefully the browns fall in love with one of them.

Corners shouldn't go in the top 5 imo. Blackmon is the best WR in this group but I'm not sold that he's a top 5 pick. If we cant trade down with someone wanting RG3 then I say you take Kalil and get Sam some real protection. Of course all this is subject to change in the coming months as we learn more about these prospects.

I'm not at all opposed to trading Bradford for a crap ton to Cleveland or Miami and taking RGIII after the game today. Clemons played better than Bradford did all year w the same stuff which scares me greatly. I love Bradford and by no means am begging for him to go but I'm not at all opposed to RGIII

If we are able to trade down, we go with Blackmon.

If we stay at #2, I think we should go with Richardson. I know it's not the conventional pick, but Jackson is not a home run threat anymore. He'll have to be replaced in a few years, and why not have Richardson learn behind him? Richardson is the best RB to come out since Adrian Peterson, and might even be a better prospect than Peterson.

With the huge hole at WR and OT, you can't go wrong with either Blackmon or Kalil, though I am not so sure u draft Blackmon #2 overall. Moving down a few places and drafting him + an extra high pick works for me. If no takers for that, get Kalil. Relying on Saffold and Jason smith as your two OT's of the near-future would be insane.

Is Kalil the deal? Saffold and Smith were supposedly the deal as well. Nobody thought it weird or outlandish when and where we drafted those two.

If we keep MCD resign lloyd, if he leaves and takes Lloyd with him sign Dbowe and draft blackmon we will have stud Wr's and we can cut the trash like gibby and DX.

I say take Kalil (based on his heritage) and go for wide receivers FA.

    Re: #2 pick it is

Since this team is more than a pick away from contending, the smart thing to do would be to look to trade down and hope things work out.

In fact, if I were a GM, my strategy would always be to look for multiple picks first, and then go from there.

    Re: #2 pick it is

Ideally, trade down and take Blackmon. If not, probably still take Blackmon.

By positional need, I'd say our offense has been a lot worse this year than our defense, especially since we spent most of the year without our top three corners. Put Bartell, Fletcher and Murphy back into the lineup, and the need for Claiborne isn't nearly as high. I couldn't really argue with taking Kalil, but I do think there's hope Saffold will rebound from this year's struggles. I am not keen on taking a runningback early. Too many good backs come out of the second and third rounds to waste a top five pick acquiring Jackson's successor. I would be very surprised if we drafted a quarterback at this point.
