Re: 2 questions for the upcoming Bears game
It's a very interesting question, and quite possibly the one that could determine the winner.
On one hand, we have Wayne Hunter going up against Julius Peppers, while the rest of our line is banged up as well. We also have a question mark in Jackson and how much he'll be able to go. I'll say that Sam gets sacked 3 times.
On the other hand, the Chicago line is not banged up, as much as not good. Webb was destroyed by Clay Matthews and we don't have a shabby rusher in Quinn either. On the other side, Long hasn't blown up yet. Without Forte, I think they try to pass more and having given up 7 sacks last Thursday, I think we can get 4 sacks.
As for who wins... If Jackson plays at full strength, we do. If he doesn't, they do.I believe!

Re: 2 questions for the upcoming Bears game
Yeah, I'm really concerned about our O-line. I have a Bear's fan here at work that wants to make a bet with me on the game and I'm reluctant to bet it straight up. She (yep, it's a woman. ...hot one at that) won't give me the 7 points (or so) and I'm hesitant with the Rams front five injury situation.
The thought that the Rams have one (1) starting O-lineman from the preseason #1's after only two regular season games is just crazy. Although the guys they've had fill in, combined with the quick pass/run offensive scheme have kept Bradford relatively clean. I don't think having or not having Jackson will make much of a difference to be honest. Richardson will present some problems for them IF he can find a hole, and I'm not sure he will. Jackson would have the same problems, if not more so because he's not the quick-hitter Richardson is.
In the Bears, I'm curious (as is just about everyone) to see how his O-line performs after some of the comments Cutler made about them and throwing them under the bus. They could be so pissed at thim that they do the "ole" block and get him creamed. Or they could get fired up to prove him wrong and have an outstanding game. ...or a little of both.
Either way, I'm thinking that Cutler gets sacked more than Bradford, and the Rams pull out another close win.Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Re: 2 questions for the upcoming Bears game
I'm not buying into we only have one starting lineman left. Turner played just about all of the preseason games at center and has played well. Dahl has been at right guard and Richardson won the RT job in camp. Heck even though he was cut Ojinnaka played all four games in preseason at LG.
That being said it is still a very patch work line. Hunter if healthy we be at LT, who would have thought that after the Smith trade, not me.
Bradford's best chance is scheme, the scheme has to be more short passes and so far against two very good lines it has worked.
Cutler will get sacked more, he hold the ball too long and always wants to make big plays. Long does not have any sacks in two games but has put pressure on the QB. This week he will get home more then once. This is a great week for Long and Quinn to really take over a game. The bears can't help both tackles so they will have to choose and I think they help Webb. Leaving Long with one on one.

Re: 2 questions for the upcoming Bears game
Too many unanswered questions to judge, imo. Is Hunter at LT or Nsykhe ? Will SJ play & be effective ? Cutler held the ball too long, for sure, vs GB but CHI have better RBs than WASH even if Forte can't go & Marshall is a different kettle of fish to cover than Aldrick whatshisname.I think this might be more about getting Cutler flustered & the resulting mistakes than sacks.
The Rams OL has done remarkably well but I don't think you can count on Peppers & , say, Briggs getting hurt like Orakpo & Carriker did.

Re: 2 questions for the upcoming Bears game
I think this is the best opportunity we've had to beat the Bears in a long time and I like our chances. Anything can happen, but just like the Washington game, I have no fear going in to this game.
I think Cutler is in for a long, frustrating day, and if I was going to put money down, it would be on the Rams.

Hopefully a gameplan is set to go after Cutler, look what Greenbay did to Cutler.

I'm going with Cutler being sacked more. Rams win because of a few strip sacks!
