20 Late-June Random Thoughts
1. I have a good feeling about this upcoming season.
2. Steven Jackson is the next great Ram player.
3. Kevin Curtis will be a close second.
4. Alex Barron will have growing pains, but will be a big upgrade at RT.
5. John Hadley's hiring is just plain embarassing.
6. The Rams should consider taking Ivory McCann, RB/KR from Texas Tech, in the supplemental draft.
7. The Rams should stay away from Ty Law like the plague.
8. Lance Shulters, however, is worth a long look.
9. Mike Furrey is the Anti-Crouch.
10. Dane Looker was a nice story, but...
11. Dante Ridgeway will make the team and contribute.
12. Maybe its Marc Bulger who's the next great Ram.
13. Or maybe... Jimmy Kennedy.
14. We will get the last laugh with respect to Claiborne and Coakley's detractors.
15. Is it me, or does Bartell seem like the type who will either be a Pro Bowl player or a bust?
16. Or, maybe I was thinking about Richie Incognito.
17. I miss Jack Snow.
18. Can't wait for the season.
19. If I'm going to do the Book of SpiralHorns again, I'm going to need help.
20. How long till training camp?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

21. I have a great feeling about this year.
22. Archuleta is coming back with a vengeance, and will put to rest his (bad) rep as a pass defender.
23. Special teams become special, and rank in the top 10 - (hey, it can happen).
24. Hargrove begs the question(s); Grant and Bryce WHO?
25. Williams catches 8 Redzone TD's.
26. 10 Int's between Fisher and Butler.
27. Jackson will average 5.5 yards / carry.
28. So will Faulk.
29. Furrey's our starting safety.
30. Wilkins won't have to make ANY tackles.
31. Smoker wins one game as a starter.
32. Bulger throws 40 TD's with 15 INT's.
33. Rams will score 2 TD's on kick-off returns. (Fair or Caseon)
34. Kennedy breaks out bigtime.
35. Curtis becomes the # 2 receiver, (and I LOVE Bruce).
36. McDonald makes us FINALLY forget about Hakim.
37. Caseon (sp?) becomes our #3 back.
38. WE STOP THE RUN!
39. We will go 11-5.
40. DISCLAIMER! Barring significant injuries, (whatever that means).Last edited by VegasRam; -06-28-2005 at 07:30 PM.

43. The Rams' offense will be ranked 2nd in the league in total yardage.
44. The defense will be ranked 14th in total yardage against.
45. Marc Bulger will eclipse 4,000 yards.
46. We will go 5-1 in the division with the only loss coming late in the season against the Whiners, when the starters are on the bench.
47. Chris Berman will once again refer to us as the Greatest Show on Turf.
48. Chris Claiborne will get hurt in camp, but return to play in every game.
49. Jimmy Kennedy will wreak havoc on the inside drawing double teams, while Anthony Hargrove and Leonard Little each eclipse 10 sacks each.
50. Though clearly deserving, Mike Martz will be shunned in the Coach of the Year voting. The Winner: Jim Mora, Jr. after he coaches the Falcons, who lose Michael Vick in Week 13, into a playoff spot.
51. I'm excited about the future of this offensive line.
52. Pace looks good in camp.
53. Pace looks good on tortilla chips.
54. Pisa Tinoisamoa will be shunned in the Pro Bowl voting, even though he deserves it.

Re: 20 Late-June Random Thoughts
This is the one I'm most excited about. I see it happening. He is extremely athletic for a guy his size and now that his head (and ankle) is on straight, he could cause trouble for O-lines. If he steps it up, he'll be too disruptive up the middle to leave in single blocking. And, if he is double teamed, then either Little and/or Hargrove will see consistent single coverage, or they bring in additional blockers which eliminates an offensive weapon and one less body for our back 7 to deal with.

Re: 20 Late-June Random Thoughts
I am extremely excited about the defense this year!! With our D-line coming together it only makes things easier on our defense to create the turnovers. I dont think we will be waiting 4 games or whatever it was last year before we get one this year. I see a much better turnover ratio this year.

Re: 20 Late-June Random Thoughts
Won't it be nice to look forward to punts (returns), and kick-offs (returns) again, instead holding your breath or running out for a beer?

Re: 20 Late-June Random Thoughts
I agree with both of these.

Maybe, I'm just being a pessimist, but I will hold my breath until the special teams actually do something memorable. They look improved on paper, but they still make me nervous.
