I too think they have improved more than most are giving them credit for. But at the very least they're bigger. Kennedy (320) is large than D-Lew (290), Claiborne (255) is larger than Thomas (230), and hopefully Arch (220) has a healed back so he doesn't play like Arch (180).

They won't be as fast as Lovie's teams, but when you get locked up and knocked out of position, what good is speed?

    Re: 20 Late-June Random Thoughts

Kennedy could be the single biggest factor to advancing our defense next year.
I think if you look at the whole middle of the defense it's looking much better than last year. Last year we didn't have Kennedy on the line through most of the season, we had a revolving door at MLB, and Archuleta was playing with a back that barely allowed him to tie his shoes while Rich Coady did his best impression of El Matador. This year if Kennedy plays strong or better than he did last year, and Atogwe can develop into an NFL calliber safety with a healthy Chris Claiborne, there will be no more soggy middle of the Rams defense.

They look improved on paper, but they still make me nervous.
That's more than we've been able to say for years.

I disagree. Dane is needed. He is very important to the field goal unit, a good player on special teams, and a backup receiver with great instincts. He had trouble last year engaging the ball, but I think he may work his way out of it.

Where is Jack Snow? Is he missing? I have only heard him a couple of times, but I liked his commentary.

You guys have the same kind of special teams that the Hawks did...that is too say horrible. If the got any worse, they would be giving up touchdowns every time they kicked. They can't get any worse, right. Hopefully they have improved, for us...and not you. LOL

Well, I only hear him when there are games, and there haven't been any for a while.

    Writing it.

How do you do that? Do you listen to the radio over the internet? I can't imagine that they broadcast him in Florida.

Oh no, my friend, our special teams were their own kind of horrible. There are industrial strength vacuums that don't suck as much as our special teams did last year.

You can get local broadcasts (for a fee of about $30 for the year) on NFL.com.

Last year, coy bacon and RamTime contributted chapters. I would be happy to have more co-authors this year.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to save the site for when the season starts.
