20 "Man, Winning Sure Feels Good" Random Thoughts
- Where did this Bradford guy come from? He's pretty good!
- Shame to lose Jackson early, but great to see him break a long TD.
- While there were still some missed opportunities, how great was it to see the Rams gather themselves and pull away in the end?
- Though the Rams only recorded 1 sack, the pass rush was fierce and relentless, particularly in the second half.
- After three games, the Rams have outscored their opponents 57-49.
- In 2009, after three games the Rams had been outscored 24-73.
- I guess what I'm saying is, if you can't see the improvement, you're not looking.
- You can't say enough about how great a pickup Mark Clayton has been.
- Rodger Saffold is making a strong early showing for the All-Rookie team.
- What's with the blocked FGs?
- Remember those analysts who showed footage of Bradford receiving plays from the sideline at Oklahoma? Remember how they said that this indicated that Bradford was not ready to read defenses? Well... WRONG!
- Fendi Onobun has some real potential.
- Late in the game, the Rams ran a WR screen in which one WR lead another (I think it was Clayton or Gibson leading Amendola). That's a play they should keep running.
- Speaking of Gibson, he has impressed me a lot more than Robinson ever has (despite a couple of drops).
- Mardy.... I want to see more of you, so DON'T FUMBLE!
- Brad Fletcher is an intriguing young player.
- I really like the blitz packages the Rams are running.
- For all the criticism, I think Pat Shurmur called a good game this week.
- Larry Johnson? I have my doubts that he's the answer.
- Bring on the Seahawks!
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: 20 "Man, Winning Sure Feels Good" Random Thoughts
There is one running play I would love to see us run more, its when they bring a man in motion and hand the ball to the RB then fake an end around. I think that if they ran that play and kept throwing a few end arounds in there it would really take some pressure off the middle of the line and allow for more running room.

Yes, Shurmur did an excellent job. He adapted well to Jackson going down, calling just the right plays to keep drives going.
Its a shame we haven't made more inquires into backup running backs, at least as far as the press knows.

Does Darby look faster this year? He dosen't look like the same guy. He looks like he could be the "fresh legs" for late in the ballgame.

I liked the play when they had 3 WRs on one side and ran Darby up the middle for a TD.

A few more notes:
1. Anyone else feel like the crowd counting down at the end was them counting down to the official end of a
terrible era?
2. I feel bad for Chris Long. He's playing really, really well, the stats just don't show it.
3. I like Kroenke. I have no justification for that statement.
4. If we win Sunday, we're tied for 1st, with lady momentum on our side.
5. Our O-line is flat out excellent.
6. I think the downfield blocking on the SJ run was the best I've ever seen. J-Smoothe sprung it.

Someone should call you out on the O-line statement. It's over the top.
