    20 Quick Post-Bucs Game Thoughts

    1. Whew!

    2. First place feels pretty darn good right about now!

    3. Way to go defense with 4 forced turnovers and a TD!

    4. Big game for Big Game.

    5. McDonald got absolutely robbed on a great punt return.

    6. Man, did we miss Trev Faulk.

    7. Steven Jackson's stats were not overwhelming, but he had a couple of key 3rd down conversions.

    8. Faulk still knows how to find the holes - but lacks the burst to take full advantage of them.

    9. Hope Wilkins plant foot ankle is okay.

    10. Hargrove making progress.

    11. Bulger continues to show the ability to shake off mistakes and make plays.

    12. Funny how we're not hearing about the lack of a long ball any more.

    13. Liked those two plays to Curtis in the fourth.

    14. Nice to dispatch the Bucs.

    15. Michael Clayton is a player.

    16. The CB play for the Rams was horrible.

    17. When is Travis Fisher coming back? (Soon, I hope.)

    18. Did I mention that first place feels really good?

    19. OUR BOYS ARE COMING TO MIAMI THIS WEEK! WOO-HOO!!!!

    20. I'm tired, and I'm going to bed.

    I hear you AV.
The D did do a good job against the run, but the pass D was...... ( When's Finsher returning?) :disappoin
Nice play Arch; Big Game; Little; Mc D ( you were ROBED!) ; and Bulger.
Nice to see Marc ( The Third Down Sniper) continue to develop. :tough:
Hope Wilkens is alright by next week.

Hope all the Clan who are attending the game bring us a win, and have a great time. :ramlogo:

Where did #20 Anderson come from? That guy is special. I think he may make a big impact on special teams.

And speaking of special teams, I hope that Wilkins is just banged up and not hurt.

Oh yeah. Real special. Wasn't he the one that was called for the illegal block on McDonald's punt return (I do agree with AvengerMania that McDonald got robbed though - Anderson's head was in front of the tackler and he made contact shoulder in front of shoulder - downright highway robbery).

But let's see ... he runs 5 yards out of bounds, knows where the one-inch line is, but doesn't have the sense not to touch the ball 1st after coming back in bounds and forces everyone to do it all over again with a brain cramp penalty. Then on the follow-up punt, Landeada-may-still-be-alive gets a good bounce but before the ball is left to roll some more Anderson bursts in and downs it prematurely despite at least two Rams protecting the ball from going into the endzone. Oh yeah. Real special.

I like his enthusiasm to an extent but I wish he wouldn't run at full tilt enthusiasm all the time. Tone down a little. I don't need to see your muscles just because you downed a punt on the 5 yard line.

Yea, he's over-zealous to say the least, but this defense could use a little more emotion. I think he will develop into a decent corner. Like I said during training camp, he's sandpaper underwear raw, but he has great upside.

The illegal block call was a bad one. You can't blame him for that mistake. I'll agree he is making mistakes with his knowledge of the rules, but he has great focus and passion and seems to end up in the right place. He is raw but I think he will develop. Give the guy a chance.

honestly i think if he didnt stop the ball, it would have gone in the endzone for a touchback, he did a ok thing and honestly i dont like the rule that states if he goes out of bounds he cant touch the ball first..he was pushed out of bounds..archuleta was awesome..i cant believe that play.. it saved the game for us.

This was great to see. The defense is finally getting more aggressive and forcing the issue which is going to be a key to future success.

    5. McDonald got absolutely robbed on a great punt return.
That was a HORRIBLE call on a great block by Anderson, who made that touchdown possible. I like this kid. I see improvement coming on the Special Teams, especially when Faulk gets back, I agree he is missed.

Good point Av. As someone who ripped Bulger's lack of touch on the long ball last season, let me say he now looks incredible. Amazing turn around.

While 500 FootPounds of torque are twisting 180 degrees, in a downward spiral to meet an immovable object, the A Train singlehandedly wrenches the ball away from the four points of football security. That play all by itself just sold the Plyometrics Training Regime to another 10 distributers.

Isn't that the beauty of it? Anyone can take away just whatever they want from it. No more. No less.

The CB play for the Rams was horrible.
Jerametrius Butler made some key plays and played pretty well overall in my opinion. Meanwhile, the other side of the field scares me. Once T-Fish gets back I'll feel much more comfortable with the secondary. Let's hope we have him after the bye week.
