20 (Whew!!!) Post-Road Win In Denver Random Thoughts

    1. That fourth quarter was sponsored by Pepcid.
    2. Sam Bradford. Wow. Just... wow!
    3. Shurmur... you need to trust Sam when the Rams have the lead. I'm sure there will be a ton more said about the turtleshell playcalling at the end of the game, so I'll leave it at that.
    4. Winning feels GOOD!!!!!
    5. First place after 12 weeks feels GREAT!!!
    6. Chris Long came up HUGE at the end. How can you not like that guy?
    7. A shout out to James L too for a AWESOME pass breakup on the last series.
    8. It would be easy to get down on the CBs getting beat, but, let's not forget... Denver has been throwing the ball around like this all season, and two of our top 3 CBs have a total of less than 30 games COMBINED under their belts.
    9. Josh Brown made four FGs, but his one miss and missed extra point made the game closer than it should have been. I think he'll be the Rams' kicker next year, but he may have to compete to keep his job.
    10. If Danario Alexander can ever stay healthy for an extended period of time, he'll be a true diamond in the rough. Gotta love the guy's tenacity.
    11. Bradford: 8.3 yards per attempt today. Like to see that become a trend.
    12. By my calculation, Sam's QB rating is now at 82.0. In case you've forgotten, he's a rookie.
    13. I think its time for John Greco and maybe even Hank Fraley to get a few reps at OG. Goldberg, in particular, seems to be getting beat way too much.
    14. One of the things I really like about this Rams team is that there are very few players about whom you'd say "he's as good as he's ever going to be."
    15. If you had told me that on November 28 the Rams would be in first place and the Miami Heat would be in third in their respective divisions, I would have called you a crazy person.
    16. I was at Sam Bradford's first regular season games. That fact becomes more and more of a thing to brag about each week.
    17. Seattle blown out at home by KC. Didn't see that one coming.
    18. By the way, I called this one Rams 30-21 before the game. Not a horrible pick.
    19. Did I mention how much I enjoy it when the Rams win?
    20. On to Arizona!

you got to respect our offensive line. SJax was having a hard time good to see the line pushing forward.

"Whew" is right. I don't want to say I lack perspective or take losing hard, but I would have seriously considered burning my house down had we lost that game.

#21 Could the Rams wind up going to the playoffs as a Division Champ with a 7-9 record?

It is possible but let's keep up the faith that we will end the season with a winning record. After all we beat the Broncos, who we were not supposed to beat. We beat the Chargers who we were not supposed to beat. And most of the rest of our losses have been by 5 points or less. All the rest of our games are winnable.

#21. The Rams might consider being the first team in the NFL to have a 1st half OC and a separate second half OC.

Agree with the "whew" comment, but I've never felt so "unexcited" about a Rams victory before. I mean, I'm estatic that they won, but for cryin'-out-loud....that fourth quarter performance by the defense made me want to puke. I'm watching the game and enjoying the blowout when all of a sudden, we're hangin' on for the win. Should never have happened.

As I stated in another thread, I was not happy with Jackson's performance. Yes, holes were small and hard to come by, but I've never seen such a big guy go down with the slightest touch. STOP DANCING STEVEN! You do not have the burst of speed from a standstill to be side-stepping your way to the line. You're built to run over guys. Run over them!

Bradford is unbelievable. The Kid will only get better, and that's scary. What he's doing with our rag-tag team of WR's in incredible, even if he were a vet.

I did see the KC win coming over Seattle. Now, the Rams have got to find a way to beat them (KC) at home.

    Exactly. Why not?

Our division is the NFL deep, dark and cold cellar but hey, we're a developing team and seeing the Rams in the playoffs would be fun. BTW, I hope AZ beats SF... I like this #21!

Well, I believe the last time the Rams won a division with a marginal record like 9-7, they wound up going to Super Bowl XIV.

I enjoyed it from the 30yd line, it was glorious! I was disappointed with the d in the 4th, but they came through when it counted and honestly when's the last time you could say that.

Just glad we pulled out the win!
Bradford continues to amaze me at how well he is playing this year.

Perhaps I am forgetting about a play somewhere, but isn't this 2 straight games without allowing a sack? Thats remarkable!
