    2001 Rams Better Than 1999

I don't know if we ever brought this out, but I was noticing strength of schedule. 2001 had a tougher schedule and finished with a better record, even though Vermeil rested starters vs. Eagles in 1999.

And the 2000 team scored a monster 540 points, but likewise faced a sorry schedule.

Amazingly they were #1 offense 1999-2001 GSOT / 2001 offense faced #2, #5, and #8 defenses in the league.

    1999 had #4 defense / 2000 had #31 defense / 2001 had #7 defense
the key was the strength of schedule. Had the Rams won the SB there would have never of been any question 2001 team was better.

    Living in the past? Totally!

Didn't the 2001 team also go 8-0 on the road as well?

i'm not sure but i thought it was 8-0 home records for all three seasons, so there could'nt have been a chance for a perfect road record.

Actually Rams lost at home vs. Tampa and New Orleans in 2001 and went 8-0 on the road. (14-2)
and in 2000 lost to Carolina, New Orleans, and Washington at home. (10-6)

    1999 saw 8-0 at home. (13-3)
