agreed on most of the players but shouldnt hargrove play DE? Also, why do u think Ron Bartell is a likely starter but JB is only a questionable one? is it becuase of his health?

That was a typo, which has now been fixed.

Yes. Its hard to predict how a CB will do after returning from a significant knee injury. Hopefully, Butler will be 100% and ready to start by opening day. At this point, though, he's a question mark.

Personally I would label both CBs as questionable. Butler's status will depend on how he comes back from injury, as you guys have said. But I think the only people really expecting Bartell to be a likely 2006 starter right now are the fans. If anything, it's probably still Travis Fisher's job if he's healthy.

You misunderstood. This is the starting lineup as of today. If they draft a TE in the first 3 rounds, this will change.

As for Bartell being a starter, that is a bit of speculation on my part, but I think he will beat out Fisher.

    Big Board Update, 3/10/06

The Rams didn't sign Bruce to be the #3 WR, so he's back in the starting lineup!

I'm still not sold that Bruce is the #2 or at least will be by the beginning of the season. Maybe he starts there, but one way or the other, I see Curtis being more productive this year than Bruce.

I think that, by the end of the year, it is likely that Curtis and Bruce will be on the field around the same amount of time, making them more of a 2A and 2B than a 2 and a 3.

That said, I don't think the Rams are paying Isaac Bruce $6 million this year to be the #3 WR, so I expect he will be the starter.

Isn't it nice just to see his name up there, though?

Your first point --- 2a, 2b, yea that sounds about right.

Your second point --- $15 mil over 3 years is a lot more than any team would pay for a #3, so I agree they are paying him like a high 2 or even 1.

Your third point --- You bet it's nice!

Re: 2006 Rams Starting Lineup - The Big Board

I see the Rams playing mostly out of 3 or 4 WR sets because Linehan does like spreading out the defense, so Bruce and Curtis will likely see an equal amount of playing time.

At one point he was described as a "Ball Hawk" and finally got a chance to live up to that in the Dallas game.

I thought his lack of playing time had more to do with his attitude with the coaching staff than his skill.

It's early, I'm tired, I have not been sleeping well, I'm really grouchy, my eyes aren't focusing, and my brain isn't working well. So, I need clarification here.

Does this mean Atogwe is #2 FS, or that he's practice squad material?

Mike Martz never gave him a chance. He made one mistake on special teams in the opening game i believe and then was inactive for the next 6 games or something like that. Thats not a way to get a guy ready for the NFL

    Updates - 3/11/06

Corey Chavous is now the starting FS

Adam Archuleta still on the board, but changed to status red, as he is almost certainly gone

Bryan Barker won't be resigned. Punter spot is open.
