Was 2007 the most injuries any Rams team has ever had?

The Rams had 16 of 22 offensive and defensive starters miss games this year due to injuries or suspensions. Their #3 WR, #4WR, and Kick/Punt Returner also missed time which was not included in the total or it would have been higher. It also would be higher if we included all the backups that where injured like Steussie and others.

I don't think I could name any team that has had this many injured starters in the years I've followed the NFL.

In over 40 years that I've followed the Rams, I've never seen anything like the number of injuries -- and hence the devastation -- that befell our 2007 team. ...It has to be one for the books.

There's no question this season will go down in history, when it comes to impact injuries.

Let's see.....was 2006 the best year Jackson ever had? Was 2006 the best year Bulger every had? Was 2007 the most injuries the Rams have ever had?

I'm just guessing here but I think what you are trying to build up is that Linehan should be our coach right?

I've had this debate before and yes I can give you a team that had 16 of the 22 starters miss games due to injuries or death. Can you guess the team? The Washington Redskins and Joe Gibbs still manage to win and play in the playoffs.

Let me save him the trouble.

Even if 2006 was Jackson's and Bulger's best season... even if the Rams had the most injuries they've ever had... I still think Linehan is a bad head coach.

What does that tell me about you thought process?

What it should tell you is that I am able to view a two-year period and conduct an analysis of Linehan's performance notwithstanding the circumstances that were beyond his control.

What you choose to think it tells you is your own business.

I'd be curious to see your list then, because according to NFL.com, starters LaRon Landry, Chris Samuels, Pete Kendall, London Fletcher, Clinton Portis, Chris Cooley, Cornelius Griffin, and Andre Carter never missed a start.

So that's eight of 22 playing and starting all games, leaving 14 starters - not 16 - who missed games.

The most ever? Guys, we weren't even the most injured team THIS YEAR. Here's the most games missed by starters this season......

    Buffalo (89), Indianapolis (81), Arizona (75), St. Louis (71)

    HUbison,

Please stop providing facts that disprove the knee-jerk
    analyses of Linehan supporters.

    Thank you.

:\ SB99, sorry that some posters here missed the 'Rams team' in your question. ...And putting too many surmising words in your thread too.

Let the offseason begin (a little ahead of time)!
