2008 Travel Plans?

It has been decided that this year the MoonClan will be traveling to DC for it's annual attack on enemy cities. Is anyone else out there traveling to other games? Washington DC? And does anyone know of any "packages" that local hotels may offer?

No, but I was planning on attending the game here in Philly.

Southwest Airlines is offering a Washington DC vacation package with hotel, rental car, flight. Try to go when the cherry blossums are blooming. It is beautiful. Lots to see there. It will take five days to take in all the sites. Try also travelocity, orbitz, etc. Shop around.

I lived outside DC for 14 years and didn't see all the sites, five days'll get you nothin!

That said, I also suggest the cherry blossoms, and in addition to that the standards of the Air and Space museum, the American History museum, the Spy museum, and of course all the memorials and monuments. That's just a small bit of DC. Try going outside to NoVA or Maryland and you have lots more to go!

Thanks guys, just thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone was going. BigRed Man, I will try Southwest when tickets go on sale. I was actually just in Roslyn VA for training, but too early for the cherry blossoms. I did get to see the Lincoln, WWII, Korean War and Viet Nam war memorials. Very cool. I will stretch out the Rams vs. Redskins trip to catch some of the Smithsonian.

moloch, when I do get ready to go to Philly, I'd love to buy you a beverage of your choice, you seem like one cool monkey! It would be nice if they scheduled the DC and Philly games back to back so I could just stay the week!

I fly to Seattle every year. I was thinking 9rs this year as well.
