    The 2009 Rams!!!

It has been another week of pain and suffering. Not one thing is working and the players are just not producing. It is obvious that this group of guys is not going anywhere and that some drastic changes are necessary in order to step to that next level. We can not win with one star on the team, we need young blood and new talent. We need as many as we can get. My solution is for the future and not for this year, maybe for two years from now. We need to initiate trades for some of the teams veterans, Bulger, Jackson, Little. Those guys could still bring some value from the market. They could also make some bed teams contenders. The way Rams are playing this year, they will have high draft pick once again next year. So here we go: Bulger could be traded to the Redskins or Jaguars, both teams could use guy like him. He would make aether team very good. I think Bulger would be worth second round pick for some of those teams. Steven Jackson would be great fit in Detroid, New England or Carolina. I see Raiders paying big for him. He would be worth 1st round and 4th round pick, if not more. Leonard Little would probably end up in Chicago with Lovie Smith, he could also go to Green Bay or Seatle, I think Little could bring in 4th rounder and a player. There are couple more guys on the team that could help by leaving: Josh Brown, Alex Barron, Randy Mc michael. Next year we could pick QB and RB in first round, we could get DB in second round and wr in third round. With the money saved from departures we could bring couple of young free agents and that way fill in all the gaps. In my opinion with the star veteran players on todays team we can't win because they are used to losing.

you have a right to your opinion and also can have your own plan to make the Rams better, but I don't think trading the best player on the team makes much sense and for some of the others,if they are playing like crap for us what makes you think anybody else would want them,I like what the FO is doing for the most part,it's just going to take time.

why would Carolina give a 1st for Jackson when they already have 2 good RB`s? their problem is at QB!
why draft a RB with the 1st round pick we could potentially get for Jackson when we have got a stud RB who is proven in the league and only just turned 26.. for an unproven prospect, probably a lot less talented than jax and only a couple of years younger?
whose gonna trade for a kicker? im not even sure you allowed to trade for a kicker..im presuming you meant that and not just flat out cut one of the best kickers in the league..
why spend yet another high pick on a DB when we have a large group of young DB`s already?..a wideout in the 3rd that would unlikely be any better than Robinson ,Avery or Burton?
how come no mention of our D-line needs?

as JK said you are entitled to your opinion and i respect that..just glad we have Billy D and Spags making the decisions over yourself and atleast 99% of the Clanram nation and im including myself in that!

You make some sense but then also very little.

You can't just clean out the veteran house. It doesn't work that way. If you haven't noticed we are already a very young team as it is. You can't just have all inexperienced players and no veterans, thats not how a football team works. Also a lot of those guys you mention shouldn't even be on the trading block they don't deserve to be and probably wont be for logical reasons.

    1. Bulger-as much as I like him and believe he's still a good QB it possibly might be apparent he's not the answer here anymore. Now i'm not even close to being sold on this idea I give him this year to try to show something to stay here for the future. He just might be able to rebound and even though a lot of the problems with the offense aren't his fault he gets the blame and of course the team might look to the future with as many terrible struggles as the Rams have had. When you look at trades Carolina might be a decent fit if Delhomme proves to fail in Carolina this year. Other teams theres really no path to tell where Bulger could end up.

    2. Jackson- Are you kidding me? He's our best offensive palyer and core of the franchise and as elite as he is your not going to just trade him to get value for the future. Jackson IS the future as runningback. Unless some bizzar scenario comes up unlikely and probably wont happen.

    3. Leonard Little- I give it until the end of the season as with Bulger. Our pass rush has been subpar so far this season and while Little still is a good player they might want to bebuild at this position. He's a leader and a experience on that Dline but he does have good value. Could be great somewhere else. Its even wether or not he stays as trade options have been explored before with him I don't rule it out, could happen. Unsure where he could go.

    4. Others you mentioned Josh Brown, Alex Barron and Randy Mcmichael.

Why josh Brown? He's a good kicker and I see no problems. I doubt some free agent or new college rookie would be much fo a advantage over him. Also as someone else stated teams don't trade kickers. Wont happen here.

Alex Barron isn't the whole blame for the o-line and he has time to develop I say wait and see situation but I see others on the o-linnebeing shifted over him.

Mcmichael, well this guy I just have a hard time giving him props. He's a good blocker but has been unreliable in pass catching and really isn't a elite TE like he need. However he has this year to have time to prove himself. Good as a #2 or backup TE but here its probably #1 or nothing. Might see a trade and value is there.

Now in conclusion I have a hard time seeing any of those guys being traded during the season and a very least should have time this year to really show themselves before even being considered traded. Also Jackson is far fetched as being seen as trade worthy at all he's a franchise player.

    Re: The 2009 Rams!!!

I think someone's been playing a little too much Madden. No one's going to trade us for any of our players except for possibly Jackson, but we're NOT trading him, no matter what the offer might be. This whole thread is laughable.
