2009 Rams FAs
We've got a little money left over for FAs. After the rookies are signed, we may still have 5 or 6 million left. Wouldn't it be nice to lock up one or more of the following free agents who could walk at the end of the year?:
Get'em signed now
Steven Jackson
OJ Atogwe
Richie Incognito
Off-season priorities
Vic Adeyanju
Ron Bartell
Marques Hagans
LaRoi Glover
Mark Setterstrom
Off-season hopeful
Quintin Culberson
Derek Stanley
Tim McGarigle
Adam Goldberg
Dante Hall
I could care less
Jerome Carter
Brandon Gorin
Dane Looker
Darius Vinnett
Donovan Raolia
Eric Moore
Nick Leckey
Richard Owens
Rob Petitti
Travis Minor
CJ Ah You
Brock Berlin
Dom Byrd
Eric Bassey

We need the priorities signed. Youre right. They're a big part of the squad.

Re: 2009 Rams FAs
Do you really see Glover as a priority after next season? I wouldn't be suprised if he was cut this offseason. Of course, that assumes we come up with a replacement. I realize that in limited action he did well last year. But, the old boy can't have much longer in the league.

He's purely situational, no doubt about it, viper. However, he showed in 2007 that as that situational interior rusher, he was quite effective.
In addition, from all reports he appears to be very popular in both the lockerroom and the coaches offices. That veteran liason leader can be very important to a team.

Re: 2009 Rams FAs
I completely agree with your analysis Hub, though of course, depending upon the season, these guys could move up or down one slot.
Glover is just a role player now, but if he's still effective, I don't see why we couldn't find a spot for him in the rotation for a reasonable price.

Re: 2009 Rams FAs
If we let go of Hagans, Glover and Bartell....that really wouldn't hurt the team and would free up cap room.
