Re: 2012 Rams Second Round Pick (#39): Janoris Jenkins, CB, N. Alabama
I'm High on the kid.... had to do it. Sometimes you got to roll the dice and we just did. We have a good locker room.

Did we seriously just draft a LESS talented Pac Man Jones?

lol can't please everyone I guess. People were clamoring you can't win with choir boys during the previous regime, now we're a team of "thugs".
He said it himself, its not like he has had any malicious criminal acts. Hopefully Courtland acts as a big brother type of mentor to him, and before you say Finnegan would be a terrible influence, the guy is a straight shooter off the field, its just on it he likes to get under Pro Bowl WR's skin.

When someone says "his track record speaks for itself" i dont think you can have it both ways. Sure, he has issues, but his track record also says he is a top 15 talent and we picked him at 39. Fisher interviewed him for sure and made a judgment. Hard for people that havent met him to judge.

Well, I'm not gonna lie, the talent is intriguing, but my butthole's gonna pucker everytime my St. Louis police scanner tunes up.
I'm being completely serious right now.......put him on a plane, and shuttle him directly to Aeneas Williams house. He only leaves there to go straight to Rams Park and back."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Anyone else find it strange that multiple posters blast him for his character issues yet many of them wanted to draft Floyd? I guess it's ok to drink and drive put others peoples lives at stake but smoking marijuana holy **** is that awful.
If you wanted Floyd then you shouldn't be blasting us for drafting Jenkins.

Re: 2012 Rams Second Round Pick (#39): Janoris Jenkins, CB, N. Alabama
Brad Wells
Interview:if you get past the non-football things with Jenkins, he's a great football player. He did well against A.J. Green and Julio Jones in 2010 and tends to play bigger than his size.Brad: Do you see Jenkins falling out of the first round?
Mayock: I do. I think the two corners with first round talent that will fall out the first round are Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson.
Brad: Did you like Jenkins' tape?
Mayock: Love his tape! Great feet. You know, he's as natural a corner as there is in this draft, but there's a long litany of issues off the field. I don't see it happening in the first round.
Brad: If he didn't have the character flags, where would he go in this draft?
Mayock: He'd be a Top 10 or 12 pick, I think.
Awesome that we got 2 1st round talent CBs in the 2nd and 3rd. Johnson could be insurance in case Jenkins acts up.

Great pick(s).
RFRH, Hub and AV...
Guys, please...
Either you all had no life in college, or you just didn't get caught.
Or you way too old before your time.
I cannot believe the crap I'm reading about these picks.

Re: 2012 Rams Second Round Pick (#39): Janoris Jenkins, CB, N. Alabama
Its clear to me Fisher and Snead are saying screw it. First draft, we need a ton of talent, lets go get it!
Its an approach im not used to and if our strong coaches and and team leaders can keep these guys in line and focused. Man will be laughing to the bank.
Honest feeling from Jenkins is that the guy is simply very immature and is going to have his struggles managing his life. Hopefully Fisher sets this guy up with an off the field mentor because if ever theres a guy that needs one its him.

Re: 2012 Rams Second Round Pick (#39): Janoris Jenkins, CB, N. Alabama
wow some of you guys have to be kidding me. You act as if he was accused of rape (Mark Sanchez while at USC) or murder (ray lewis). the kid messed up smoking weed. wow thats it no more chances for you cause you smoked and whooped some one who prob. needed it. If thats how we are going to judge picks then shoot might as well always take the no issue guy or maybe just that have not been caught acting a fool and we will always have middle of the road talent. Fish says they talked to everyone and there mother bout this guy and concerns were cleared up. since its there first go around and we cant say they have screwed up anything ill believe in our FO. So now this kid acts up and is done in 3 years then you can all get on here and say see told ya bla bla bla. But if he is a pro bowler down the line then best get on here bow down.
