3-13 looking like a good fit

True this is the 1st game of the season, but Linny clearly didn't address any issues in the off season. WR choices seem to be beyond his grasp, this was a HUGE area of need & he took 2 longshots in the draft & failed to even persue a top level WR in free agency. Our o-line, while better than last year's patchwork line, isn't improved. Our secondary is filled with guys who look like they practice taking bad angles. We have no pass rush or run stoppers among our highly paid d-line.

In short............we suck & our choice of head coaches is as bad as it gets.

I await the excuse train for Linny & Bulger. Bulger is a major waste of cap room. He isn't a leader & can not carry his team. I wish for him to leave along with Linny after a season that very well could be worse than last year.

Hiring Linny was a bad choice, keeping him around was worse. He is the Tony Banks of Head Coaches.

All that said........I hope my beloved Rams can turn this around big time & make me eat my words. I just don't see it happening, that was as bad a season opener as I've ever seen them have.

The eagles arent the best team on on schedule.

If they can run up the score, I dread the Cowboys and Patriots

It's time to move on. We need to rebuild with an entire new coaching staff and many new players.

I used to even enjoy when rookies and young players could get in the game, in any circumstance, so that we could see the future potential, but none of this is fun anymore.

The decision to give Linehan the keys for another year is totally inexplicable.

If we continue to play like this we might run the table...0-16.

The question is, if we continue losing in this fashion will management dump Linny before the season ends or just let it ride until next offseason? I think that this team might actually respond to a change. I would hate having to go through an entire season with Linny at the helm "leading" his team to such uninspired play and another losing record...

I'm at a loss for words ....................... offense & defense looked unprepaired and totally over matched.

    Big questions;

    O-line
    secondary
    D-line pressure
where was the running game ???

    I had higher expectations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maine - Crappy week, but heading to St. Lou on Thursday. Really ticked OFF !!!!
and out of the ashes rise ...The Breakfast Club !

Re: 3-13 looking like a good fit

It's not a question of if we keep losing, we are going to continue to lose and Linny will be at the helm until the end of the season. Management is not going to pull the plug on him mid-season, because there is nobody inhouse to replace him with that's any better. Haslett? He can't even coach the D much less the whole team and I don't really see where Saunders had that great of a game plan today either. All we can pray for is Cowher to come at the end of the year and rescue us from this nightmare. Make sure and watch alot of college ball this year to see who we should pick 1st in the draft year.

Re: 3-13 looking like a good fit

The front office guys who made the call(I'm talking to you MR Shaw) to keep Linny around should be fired even before Linny.
All the signs were there that Linny was not a head coach. Not only did his team quit on him and lose faith in him.....these were key/team players doing it. He brought in 2 asst coaches who already seemed to have been passed by the rest of the NFL & have not changed that opinion.

Worse yet is the inactive free agency tactics & the "we can find better rookies at high spots than everyone else" draft philosiphy. We are the worst in both free agent evaluation & drafting.

We will be stuck watching our team work for the top '09 draft pick(which we'll blow) instead of watching a team worth watching.

I felt like we did very little to improve ourselves this off season & today seemed to validate that.
