Hmm. Smart pick, not a big fan of it though. Can't say Saffold won't help.

So I would assume this means Barron's gone? Great pick...bookend tackles for our franchise QB.

He was coveted by the teams right below us, so that reassures me a bit.

Guess you can put a fork in Barron, HE IS DONE!

Smart pick, not flashy, but hey have to protect "The Franchise"

The one thing that worries me is that he's a LT. What if he becomes like Barron and becomes a LT only player, that can't play at RT?

Fantastic pick. Helps really make this O-Line a strength and gives Bradford the best possible chance to succeed in his 1st season.

I don't like how we aren't picking a mauler for the right side. Saffold is good, but he's a bit lean and smaller than I'd like.

If you're going to spend $50 million guaranteed on a QB, you've got to protect him. Saffold could be plugged in at either position on the right side and gives the Rams the freedom to move Barron if they get an offer they like. Not flashy, but Saffold could have easily snuck into the first round to a team like Indianapolis.

    I really like this.

When we picked Sam we needed to protect him. Yes weapons are needed but I like this one.

We might have picked a very expensive right tackle last year, considering Saffold is more of a LT. But the main thing is that with what they want to establish here (power running, WCO) Jason Smith is better suited at RT.

Go Steven Jackson as focal point of our offense for one more year!

Love this pick. Apparently according to the NFLNetwork guys, he was the highest rated leftover OL in the draft. Billy is doing it the right way. Build a great O-Line and have your QB do the work. Maybe ship Alex B to the Giants for Osi or to Was for Haynesworth?
