4 injured Rams starters could return for Giants

It's looking more and more like the Rams will have at least four injured starters back for Monday night's game against the New York Giants.
Quarterback Sam Bradford (finger) and cornerback Bradley Fletcher (toe) were listed as full participation on St. Louis' official injury report for Friday. In addition, tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (calf) and right tackle Jason Smith (ankle) got a fair amount of work in practice, although they were officially listed as having limited participation and look like they'll play Monday.
As has been the case all week, running back Steven Jackson (groin), wide receiver Danny Amendola (elbow), and defensive end C.J. Ah You (wrist) did not practice. Amendola and Ah You could be sidelined for several weeks; Jackson is doubtful for the Giants.
Also, backup linebacker Josh Hull, one of the team's core special teams players, was full participation Friday after being limited Thursday with a hamstring injury.

It was a tough Sunday for Ah You. Not only did he suffer a dislocated wrist, an injury that required surgery, he was fined $15,000 for a late hit on Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick in the first quarter. Eagles defensive end Trent Cole was fined $15,000 for striking Rams quarterback Sam Bradford in the knee area.
****
Rams game-day captains for the Giants game are defensive tackle Fred Robbins, a former Giant, and offensive guard Harvey Dahl. "We put the biggest guys we could get out for the coin toss," coach Steve Spagnuolo quipped.

So with Amendola sidelined, who's the Rams' new emergency quarterback? "Bajema was out there," offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said, referring to tight end Billy Bajema. "He looked pretty good."
As a senior at Westmoore High in Oklahoma City, Bajema passed for 845 yards and seven touchdowns -- only slightly better numbers than Tom Brady's Monday night performance for New England.

As optimistic as I am, I really think we are screwed. Our opening schedule is hard enough as it is, and now we have important key players going down with injuries. Hoping for the best though!

The injury bug that hit the Rams, is turning out to be no where near as bad as first speculated, if only for Bartell. Its a big loss, but other teams have been losing key players, so were not alone, by any means. The Rams cannot be using this as an excuse, its time to produce are best football, in particular on 3rd down, where we stunk last week.?
Speaking of injuries. The Giants just picked up Brandon Stokley, although there different positions.! I wonder IF, it that has anything to do with a certain Hakeem Nicks being injured worse than advertised.? ONE CAN LIVE IN HOPE.?

That's the way I look at it. Getting Bradford and Fletcher back is obviously huge, while Smith and Illini Mike only make things better. With Williams and Norwood keeping the RB position viable, the Rams vulnerabilities are minimized. All things considered, we're in pretty good shape to compete.

Regardless of the starters, you're probably going to see Bajema take some snaps, but yeah, having him as the focal point at TE would not be an ideal situation.

Bajema the starter in 2013???
Just throwing it out there.
Re: 4 Injured Rams Starters Could Return For Giants
Wow, I got a little lost here. I'm thinking the two starters in front of Bajema were Kendricks and Illini Mike, not Bradford and Feeley. Bajema taking QB snaps would pulverize me too.:D
