4 Plays That Killed The Rams Yesterday
Sometimes, a team beats you for 60 minutes.
Yesterday was not one of those days.
Rather, it was a "perfect storm" created by 4 plays in the first half.
1. Robert Quinn goes too high on Christian Ponder and misses a sack on 3rd down. Had he made the play, the Vikings get a FG instead of a TD (4 point swing).
2. Adrian Peterson breaks an 82 yard run. The DL did a good job most of the day in bottling up the middle, but when AP found a crease, the back line of the D failed to stop him (7 point swing).
3. Fumbled snap. A bad exchange, and bad luck that the ball bounced out of Sam's reach. The D held, but a FG resulted (3 point swing).
4. Sam Bradford throws a pick 6. Sam was fooled by a DL dropping into coverage as he locked on to the TE. A bad play at a bad time (7 point swing).
That's 21 points as a direct result of 4 plays.
While I can't say that the Rams definitely would have won but for these 4 plays, I think there's a pretty good chance they would have.
Sometimes, things just don't go your way.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Pretty much. The mistakes made yesterday cost more than what we could pay back. AP was on another level as usual and cost us 14 points. Every thing was off yesterday.

Re: 4 Plays That Killed The Rams Yesterday
One thing went our way: Danny Amendola was credited for a catch that should have been ruled incomplete as the ball touched the ground before he had control of it. That said, nothing else much went our way. That missed tackle by Quinn was a bummer.
Couldn't agree more about the 4 plays ..
Absolutely !!! It is just unbelievable how bad luck seems to permeate the Rams.
