Re: ROUND 2 PICK #47 -- RAMS take Lance Kendricks
15 mins of processing and hating this pick more and more. Doesn't do enough vs other needs to warrant this pick. IMO he will definitely serviceable but damn should have gone defense and gained more speed, as that's really the strength of this team now. Save this draft Billy D, trade the 3rd round pick for a 2nd rounder next yr, then trade one for a 1st the following year so there will be two 1st round picks in 2013 and be armed and ready to go after Marcus Lattimore!

Re: With the 47th pick of the 2011 Draft, the Rams take Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsi
I suspect he'll be playing both Te and WR

More Bernie on Twitter:
Rams att 91 passes out of two-TE sets last season, 6th highest total in the NFL. Going back to OU days, Bradford likes throwing to TE.

I think Josh McDaniels has probably watched alot of what the pats did with 2 te splits with great success. Imagine Mikey h and this new te lining up with Clayton and Avery outside

The 2010 New England thing struck me when this pick was announced.
Hooomanuwanui and Kendricks = Gronkowski and Hernandez.
maybe... we'll see.

Re: With the 47th pick of the 2011 Draft, the Rams take Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsi
I am not gonna be hard on this guy, evidently he is a pretty good young TE, BUT the Rams had better picks out there.
This was a poor pick with such value available at WR amongst other positions.

Re: With the 47th pick of the 2011 Draft, the Rams take Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsi
HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!
Ram fans are gonna whine and complain just like they did with the Avery pick and the Laurinaitis pick, then when the season starts everybody will be singing a different tune... If Devaney has proved anything, its that he can spot a unique prospect when others cannot. Kendricks looks a lot like Aaron Hernandez, only a 7lbs lighter, just wait, this kid is a big play waiting to happen.

Looking at the list of people that have been taken in round 2. 1 WR thus far.

Re: With the 47th pick of the 2011 Draft, the Rams take Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsi
I'm glad we didn't take a WR. I think all of the guys left are #2s and we have a few of those already. We need a big #1 WR.
At first I didn't like it because we've drafted so many TEs and have a few prospects already on the team. I kind of would have liked to see if any of them would develop.
But the more I read about him, the more I like it. I think he will be a real weapon if Mcdaniels decides to use him properly.
If we can sign Rice or another #1 WR we will be looking really nice on offense.

Re: With the 47th pick of the 2011 Draft, the Rams take Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsi
Just watched a few YouTube vids on this guy. V. impressive in every way. About 10 mins of highlights over several compilations & multiple examples of great explosion off the line, great hands, blocking, leaping and diving catches.
I'm sure it'll be controversial because of all the TE projects already on the roster but this guy looks like he'll compete for top performer in all categories the first time he steps on the practice field.

Now the receivers are going and look at the teams taking them...they aren't teams in desperate need of a #1 wr.
